All class are strong now. Mage are create DPS and a good range class with lots of nice tools. I would go class with mutiple play styles: druid, pally or priest.

Does anyone know if the epic horse mount still drops in Strathholme? I know the Baron is no longer there but I never had the chance to get the charger before Cata came out.

In BG's the play style is slightly different, they have to wait and sap compared to what I assume you have been doing which would be leap and stun.

What? have you even played Rogue? keep kicking?! playing my Priest atm I absolutely destroy elites solo where as my Rogue would be eaten for breakfast.
And waiting and sapping in BGs? maybe in a 2v2 or something tight without much AoE but sapping is useless nobody gives a crap if breaking your CC means someone will kill you first. I haven't even touched my Rogue since I got my Priest to 85.
 
Last night as really good fun. We managed to down Halfus. :D

57 tries on Conclave of wind 25man HC. a 5% wipe, dam this is getting frustrating now! Hopefully it'll go down tonight.

Such a rubbish fight i hope i never have to come here again.

My guild only did first 25 HC Halfus kill last week and last night we had Chimaeron HC at 1%, damn this fight feels just so luck based (the transition between p1 and p2). Arhhhhh HC raids are not what I was expecting them to be.

This is one of the least RNG elements of the fight though, get him to 25/24% - pause DPS until massacre - group, heal - everyone healthstones and the works - DPS burns him down to the phase switch and then hero to the kill. If you want to be ultra on top of p2 have mages (images) and rogues (evasion then vanish) on top of aggro, salv the other high melee (ferals come to mind).

Bonus edit: Then get a priest to heal everyone a few times.

I wouldn't say luck based. We have him on farm now, and have it to a treat. Pre 4.06 he would transition randomly from 25%. now its exactly on 20% its really easy. Just stop dps, masacure and pop all healing cd's and push him through.

One thing is if you have a disc priest, at the transition use all innovates on him. He can still use sheilds on the tanks as they are not affected like heals in p2.

Got Throne of winds down tho so 4/13hc 25man. Hopefully Magmaw and Defence system this week.

Thanks for the tips.

We killed him after like 3 tries last night, looks like a whole night of wiping on him paid off :)

We also had few goes at HC Maloriak but it was a mess.

Normal raids seems to be so easy in comparison to HC.

I'm not sure how many more HC we can do as we only have like 30 raiders in guild so we can't class stack and current HC seems to be very very hard.

EDIT: Respect to all the guilds that have done HC kills weeks ago (in January), I think on average our members have 358ivl gear and HC are still very hard, doing this with much lower quality gear must have been instance for the top guilds but I suppose they class stacked.

Maloriak HC is fairly easy with the changes made recently assuming you have a demo lock or two for green phase but in total atremedies took less time to do on HC thanks to the 2-spot-shuffle tactic, a raid or two at most.

We are in the same situation. We have a very small roster. We are 359 geared, we have some people wiht blues still. Its a hard game atm trying to get decent people in, we need more recruits atm for our raids.

Malorak is a fun rihgt, really good when u get it down, as a tip, have a Druid tank, tank him in Black phase, they take less dmg than most tanks, due to sheild + magic resist, only other tank that could is a dk. Then have a pala tank in the rest.

The Red Phase is the hardest, there are usually 3 breaths. First we take as a raid priest sheild aura mastery ect. 2nd Pala tank uses argent defender/priest wings and faces him away from everyone. 3rd another wings or over raid.

Other thing is make sure your dps are on there toes to interupt the storm, more than 1 tick is too much and can wipe you. Get 1 lock to keep up Curse of Tongues to make the ticks slower.

All in all its a hard fight, brutal on tanks, healers and dps. The aoe requirerment is really high. Get this rihgt and its a fun fight.
