T in the Park 2011

Ok, so the word on the street is that Metallica, Faith No More and the Foo Fighters are going to be announced as the headliners tomorrow.

I'd like to stress right now that, while we have this on quite good authority (and if it turns out to be right, the web developer for Gigs in Scotland is going to be sacked) it could be a red herring as the image of Metallica is a very, very old one.

Once again, I stress that THIS COULD POTENTIALLY BE BULL.

Just throwing that out there.

EDIT: Apparently one of the promoters of Download Festival is saying that he "knows" that it's not true.

I think im giving T in the Park a miss this year, and if this lineup is true i definatley won't be there. im thinking about Rockness this year but for me benicassim is a definate.

Go to Rockness, it's an excellent festival. Great location, good atmosphere, good people etc. Really worth it. Not missed a year yet.

Got my T in the Park tickets yesterday so here hoping for a good line up.

That would have been a sick line up if that was true ! Metallica foos and FNM....

So any one going to T in the park this year?

Ive just seen the line up and although its not as good as last years I still think its pretty good.

I was there last year and was one of the best experiences of my life and would have loved to go back again this year. Just away on the weekend its on

but then again Magaluf will win no doubt

Slam tent looks like it will be jumping this year. Deadmau5 and the Bloody Beetroots. Can't wait.

I'll be going again as usual but I look forward to Rockness more these days.

Headliners:
Coldplay - boring headliners
Foo Fighters - ten years too late
Pulp - never though I'd get to see them so nice addition
Arctic Monkeys - great when they headlined the friday in 07
Blink 182 - not a big fan really but good addition to the headliners

Looking forward to The Manics, The View, Eels, Beady Eye, OCS, Cast plus the newer bands like The Vaccines, Stornoway, Miles Kane etc etc.

Hopefully a few big additions still to be made to the Slam tent although Vitalic and Deadmau5 is a decent start. Last time I saw the Bloody Beetroots I was massively underwhelmed. I'm hoping The Streets are in the Slam Tent again. The three in a row of Tiga/Streets/Boys Noize a couple of years ago was brilliant.

Where did you see the Bloody Beetroots? I thought they absolutely tore it up at Rockness last year

Death Disco at The Arches in 09 - didn't bother with them when they played The Arches last year or at Rockness. There always seems to be so much hype surrounding them but that first time seeing them and what I've downloaded has put me off.
