Hi

I need to make my PC very quite as its driving me mad. My only gaming requirement is to play BF2(Battle field 2) on Medium-High setting and nothing else.

But it must be very very quite, ideally with passive cooler if possible, or with a cooler that is very quite.


if you can also recommend me some quite 120mm case fans

My Nvidia 8800GT 512MB is getting on now but is still very quiet and plays Battlefield 2 on max settings with no issues.

Plays BC2 on medium settings aswell.

Battle field 2 (the old game with bad shooting physics:D)

I would like something i can buy online rather than search the forum or markets.
 
As the poster above says, a 8800 GT will play BF2 on very high and its very quiet. around £35 second hand on the MM
 
£100 budget quite convincingly smashed by dmsims there.

Something like an 8800GT or 9800GT will play BF2 excellently well. if you really want a new card, the Club 3D 5770 from the clearance lines will also play it perfectly.
 
Well the OP actually says:

"~£100 the lower the better because I am going to be upgrading soon anyhow"

It's very quiet and possibly avoids the upgrade
 
9800 GTX 512mb will play bf2 maxed out on 1920x1080. i think on the OCUK bgrade for £59 ? mines was quite unless you put it under load.in bf2 it doesnt even reach 50% fan speed and above 60 is when you start hearing it.
