gtx 460 vs radeon 6850

The HD6850 1GB and GTX460 1GB are very similar in performance although the HD6850 1GB has much lower power consumption:

They're both similar in performance, just depends if you like ATI or Nvidia OP, or to an extent, which you can get cheaper.

Yes they are.

I'm one of them (even get quoted in the first post).

I would think very carefully before buying a GTX460. Nvidia are supposed to be "onto" this now, but they took their time, and there is still no solution.

I will say though, that my current Gigabyte GTX460 OC 1Gb is working OK in my current system, performs well and is very quiet. I still have a bad feeling about it though.
