I've got a 1500 miles Airmiles voucher that I need to use before 31 May so I'm looking to go somewhere with the other half before then. It basically covers a Zone 2 destination (http://www.airmiles.co.uk/spend) with a bit of real money added on.

We were looking at Ibiza (not for the clubs) but flights don't start until the summer.

Ideally we'd want some sun, sea and sand to chillout for a bit as well as some decent culture and nice food. Happy with anywhere bar Portugal, as we went there in November :p.

Suggestions on a postcard! ;)

Budapest? It's about 20oC to 25oC in April/May, fantastic city with lots to do and it's not in the Euro so it's cheap, I went in 2009 and paid about £1 a pint.

Edit - Ok, so you won't get sand or sea, but it's a fantastic place still!

Myself and the girlfriend are off to Ölüdeniz in May. Volcanoes and Airlines going into administration permitting of course.

Definitely an option. 1500 miles + £120 return for the both of us incl. taxes/luggage etc for any period in May.

Edit: Might be worth saying that it's basically that price for any Zone 2 destination, so we'd rather stay away from destinations that are accessible via Ryanair etc as it seems a bit pointless otherwise.

Think I'd fly into Malaga and then stay up in the Andalucian hills. Lots of sun and sea and then culture in the form of the Alahambra or visiting some of the major cities in the ara such as Jerez, Granada or Seville.

Budapest and Barcelona are both brilliant places. Barcelona probably edges it but the baths in Budapest are amazing.

don't do Barcelona.... overrated imho....

Madrid is a far better city (no beach of course)

try Biarittz / San Sebastian...
