Cool, booked Thurs & Fri off. Leaving Thurs morning for the 250mile trip upto Titusville. May as well do the Kennedy Space center tour while I'm up that neck of the woods. Since I've not been in 10yrs. Then maybe do the weekend in Orlando.
 
Well I'm now sitting in a hotel in Kissimmee Florida writing this from my IPhone. Everything looks ok so far for the launch on the 24th!
 
Shame I never got to see a real live launch. I was on a family holiday to Florida in 1993, my Mum says that when we got to the hotel my Dad had the idea to ask the receptionist if there were any shuttle launches over the next 10 days. And there was!

We took the day off from the theme parks, drove up to the Cape, and this happened...

 
I'm booked on a gatortours VIP trip to the causeway ;) what kind of things do I need to take? Pick up is at 6am and launch isn't until nearly 5! Is there anywhere to get food etc? Or do I need to bring stuff?
 
I'm just out of bed here, being picked up at 6am local to head over to the Cape. Fingers crossed it launches this time!

No worries, to be honest I would have forgotten if I didn't see it mentioned in Sky breakfast this morning! :eek:

The go has been given for tanking and the countdown has resumed. The latest weather forecast gives us a 90% probability of favourable conditions for launch.
