No they're not that different?

Logitech Performance MX: 145 grams (with battery)
Logitech Performance MX: 125 grams (no battery, in wired mode)
Razer Lachesis: 128grams (wired only)

And I think the benefit of wireless is pretty obvious, no?

Performance wise there's virtually no difference to wired if you're buying a modern Logitech KB and Mouse and for gaming they're perfectly fine as well.

I wouldn't really call them "sticks" lol, they're more like tiny wedges and one receiver can pair up to 5 (or 7, I forget) devices:
