***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

ok, back in business.
new room number is... 1472-6118-3615-5261-1394

Nice one for hosting the room, thanks for the advice (Now sure which one of you were on comos) my Audi R8 no longer turns like boat lol, what type of cars do you normal race with so I know what to buy?

Cheers for the B spec stuff today, not had chance to play or host today, just logged on now and saw £800k cash and enough credits to go up 1 B spec level!!

Might be able to host a few tomorrow evening, in return.

Its funny when I left, you and the usual bunch tried to taunt me back, on several future posts. Even the above quote was made quite a while after me leaving, such was your attitude/issues and I was still part of GT discussion for some reason.

I guess I can say to you:

"Whos laughing now smarty pants!"

As triple screen support is indeed fantastic in GT5 :D

That is all...

Welcome back! So, what did you think of the game when it finally came out? I haven't had a chance to play since the update yet, but i've heard some good things about it.

Just shared two B-Spec drivers if anyone wants to do this remote stuff. Will also be hosting a room tommorow, was thinking a road car track day kinda thing.

oh all kinds.. I've got uh.. 390 cars I think now.
The racing modified Corvette ZR1 (buy a corvette ZR1 from dealership, go to GT Auto, choose racing modify) is supposed to be a good car to get started with as there's quite a few races you can do with it and it flies.

If you have just started you'll need a Gallardo and some kind of Ferrari (most go for the 458 but I used the Scuderia)

Don't be afraid to mod your cars, a stock R8/Gallardo will drive like a pig, always fit racing softs + customisable suspension, put it as low and as stiff as it goes, then tweak from there.
I normally go for camber 2.4 front 2.0 rear, toe -0.10 front -0.20 rear as a starting point on any car.
Oversteer = soften rear spring rate (and maybe anti-roll)
Understeer = soften front spring rate (and maybe anti-roll)

Don't buy a Veyron, you win one and it turns like a boat no matter what you do to it.

Nice tips, I follow a similar route modifying my cars too. Will try and get online for some races tonight, though I usually have to wait until the Mrs is asleep (11:30).

Do I have you on PSN?

Which event do you win the Veyron from?

Prize car for getting overall 1st in the GT Championship in... uh, either Expert or Extreme, don't have the game open at the moment to check which.

Random side note: Thanks to those of you who've been racing my numpties, I've got a bit of extra cash and exp thanks to that now :D

Edit: Gran Turismo World Championship in Professional for the Veyron :) Curse my ailing memory.

Ive no real intentions of getting involved with certain folk here as it will just be the same as before. Shame as quite a few I did like posting with. Yer man just deserved to be updated with the knowledge he no longer has to feel sorry for me in buying what I did for such a setup, eh.

The game for me has had quite a few surprises some good and bad.
Its brillant in certain respects and below par on some others. However it is a fun racing title to play and the fact they keep seeming to improve it with updates is good. More is to come of course so it helps keep the interest. Was it all I hoped, not quite as no game ever is but it certainly has set the benchmark in many ways on consoles and indeed it was genre defining in many respects too. Now I look forward to Shift 2 / FM4 / Dirt 3 / F1 2011.

Heres a few pics from early multiscreen testing but not finalised setup. Im doing a writeup on it later in the week at GTP. This improves the game so much from a fun and immersive perspective. Now if only OCUK would get in the darn T500 RS id be pretty chuffed as its been on Pre Order since December.

Fixed for you :D

Thanks for the information you posted. I've not bothered to tweak most of my cars. I can usually manage with them but the R8 indeed is very stubborn to drive.

Multiplayer room is up.

Road cars on the Nurburgring Nordschleife. Only TCS and ABS allowed. Clean driving.

Or add me on PSN, blingster989, if it's full just message me.

Won the Red Bull X2010 by doing the Sebastian Vettel Special Challenge. Since someone has already lent me his Red Bull ages ago, I thought i'd give this a shot on eBay. Listed it today for 10 days so it ends on Sunday, already at £5.50 with 2 watchers! :D

I love you guys - first time Ive been in GT5 since sharing my driver - hes gone from 0 to 18 and actually made money ...

Ill make sure to put some races on over the weekend and return the favour!

I presume hes now good enough to leave alone and remote race the BSpec career?

ps3ud0
