So do we think the old girl has had her last game thrown at her?

Booted up last few days ago and got no Signal... rebooted and it was fine! booted up a little while ago and same thing "no signal" so rebooted... same problem.. took card out checked it removed dust etc and reseated it.

Exact same problem... can hear windows 7 loading in the back ground... but cant see bugger all! tried both DVI's and still no luck..

Considered the PSU? Noisetaker II 600w... any suggestions guys? or is it time to consider a replacement! :(

Thanks

Think your video card has finally had it I'm afraid! Only thing to do is try it in another known good working rig to be sure! Time maybe for an upgrade?

Ok thanks guys thought as much... worth a check tho :)

Well its a 2nd rig, so not gonna want to throw in anything over the top! something with dx10/11 and proformance to match the old 8800GTX would be nice..

Was looking at either ATi's 5770 or 5830 series.. or maybe equivelent from nvidia? Not wanting to spend more than 100-120 quid tho might consider the MSI 5850 thats on offer at the minute.. but it will only be in a Core 2 E6600 with 4 gigs of DDR2 and used for gaming now and then...

Yea noticed the 9800's !

Not sure, think I will try and throw a 460 in.. or maybe a 5850! as it will keep the rig useable for a while yet with the likes of BF3 coming out and such..

I sold my 8800gtx and got a 460 a few months back, you get double the fps on most games so a definate upgrade.

The 460's are great cards, never given me any trouble. Unfortunately I'll be getting rid of them this week though so I can get a dual card when they appear. I have the msi cyclone oc edition and there great, low temps and noise.:)

Yea, tried monitor connected to my 6950 and works fine... :(

So here it is then... went with the MSI 460 as its slightly cheaper than the 5850's and proformance is as good.. well swings in round abouts... so price and lower temps/noise really did it for me.

Thanks for the advise guys
