Got the day off but nothing to do

There are way too many people who pay attention to the weather. "The weather's good, let's go out!" "It's too rainy, let's not do anything today." What really annoys me is how in the summer the Tube is full of people, as if they were cramped in a bunker all winter like the Fritzl children just waiting to do something, and as soon as the temperature creeps above 20deg they're permitted, by some otherwise failing of imagination or insight, to venture out of their hovels.

I pity them all, each and every one with their backpacks, water bottles, ill-fitting hats and flowery dresses.

Oh it was lovely yesterday! We took the dog out and play by this big reservoir - very idyllic

It may get better as here it was very foggy first thing yesterday and it turned out to be lovely! (north manchester)

It has started to brighten up actually. I am waiting on the post man as I am expecting something.
