acer 3700 issues ION 2,

wasted hours on this now getting fed up.

W7 64bit cannot offload video tasks (eg playing mkv) to the GPU

I have the latest CCCP codecs' installed.

I know I need driver + codec + player but cannot get the right version / settings of each....

can anyone help me before I smash this box up,

any help much appreciated

Whats your bitrate on your mkvs?

Does it stutter on 720p content? How does it handle SD content?

You might want to read my review of the R3610 (i know its different from the 3700) but might give you a better indication of the capable hardware.

4gb are fine cpu at 60ish% 8gb files cpu at 90/100% and I get stutter

over 8gb is rubbish and stutters all the time

im sure i jsut need the right settings to make the gpu decode

yep, remove all that you had on the Revo. Try to install MPC HC / MPC x64 bit. See how that goes.

I think the inbuilt codec utalises GPU rather than CPU. Also as a failsafe install XMBC as I know that inbult software uses GPU rather than CPU.

this was the solution cpu at20% even on 11gb files....

just installed the 64 bit player...
