Hi there,

I have a Renault Scenic 1 (1999), and I am looking at powering an amp for a sub in the boot. I have installed plenty in my car ownership life, however this one is a little different.

The battery itself is under the drivers seat with a + terminal under the bonnet. I have tried to get the cable from the engine bay into the car to no avail. So do you think it would be possible to wire it direct to the battery? Is this dangerous? It is this power cable with a 60amp Glass Fuse. My BMW I had, I installed direct to the battery, which was in the boot...

I have searched on the Renault Forums and Scenic Forums to no avail.

Thanks in advance :)

Why? It's a 99 scenic it's gonna be embarrassing driving that kicking out bass lol

Anyway should be no probs wiring it from the battery

The 12v feed should always be from the battery to get best results. As above though make sure its fused.

It won't be chavvy bass, but it is a cheap (free) upgrade to the stereo for me, as I already own the stuff for it :p

As long as it is fused, knock yourself out tbh!

Just getting round to installing it, it will be fused both the cable to the amp and the amp itself. The fuse on the cable is a 60amp.

Cheers :D
