How much is a cleaner?

What do you want cleaned?
How long would it take?
Are you looking for a company or a single person sort of company?

If it's a single person

Say £10 an hour and then it depends on how long it takes to clean the house and want you want him/her to do.

Large size house.

Single person cleaner.

How long I don't know.

I bet there are loads of adverts online for people who will do this, I suggest you ring some with your specific details and see what prices you get :)

Depends - the ones I've used charge £10 an hour but do a thorough job. However, I only do it once a month as I keep the flat clean, it's just to help do a quick once over and just to do a bit of a deeper clean. :)

Once a week for a morning you are looking at about £30-40 a week.

One thing thats hugely important though - you MUST check they have liability insurance. Or they'll damage something and then run away :p

My Mum runs her own cleaning business she varies between Residential and Commercial properties but I think she charges on average about £9 an hour.

Probably a very naive thing to ask or say but...

Any of you peeps who use cleaning services, arent afraid if they walk away with say a mobile phone or watch or perhaps something less significant if you we'rent using it everyday for example?

(I know the obvious thing to say is that cleaning services would not be in business if they employed untrustworthy people...)

Your thoughts and experiences appreciated :)

The ones I use have been used by friends before so there's already that trust built in. If it was a new cleaner I'd stay around to keep an eye on things probably. Though, my parent's cleaner has keys to the house and comes in does her thing and leaves. In general people are honest - and you'd have to be either unfortunate or a little naive to employ the wrong type of person. :)

There is this Molly Maid service in our area (I think they are in a variety of areas).

Wasnt sure if I should give them a try or not, or go with someone who just runs a 1 man/woman shop for example.
