So, I am in the market for a new rig. I mostly play RPGs and RTSs, so think Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age, Minecraft and GTA IV rather than Crysis or CoD - not sure how much of a difference that makes in requirements, but better to be safe than sorry. I would like to be able to play those on as high settings as my budget will allow, though I would be happy to stay under and maintain performance if possible.

I have a monitor, keyboard, speakers and mouse, but need to buy everything else.

Any help is much appreciated. :D

I play ME2, DA:O and GTA IV and my rig is in my signature. However given the recent launch of sandy bridge I would opt for that with it being much faster than the older intel stuff.

Could also get a GTX 480, the one on offer here is okay, but I personally wouldn't prefer one.

And thanks skyline boy.

Thanks for the guidance everyone.

I went with the GTX 480 in the end, but other than that stuck with your original recommendations, Rexton.

This is my first time building a computer, hopefully all goes well.

Once again, thanks very much!
