what do you wear when you board a plane?

I usually wear jeans + tshirt, with footwear depending on the trip.
-Shoes if there's a possibility of going to a smart restaurant. (so they don't get squashed, as my bag is a soft holdall).
-Walking boots if I'm going outside (usually) (fill up my bag).
-Trainers the rest of the time.

I got suited up once when I was on a rowing trip with my school club, and that was great fun (we wore them at every opportunity once in Holland to show the natives how civilised we were). We flew easyjet economy btw.
(cue chavs asking why we're all suited up):
'Well we have to look smart for our rowing 'tour' of course'
'Oh, you guys must be well hench then!'
'Yes, yes we are' :D

That was fun because there was a group, but I imagine it would just feel a bit weird if I was on my own.

Jeans + tshirt, whatever comfy clothes I have. And always take a change of clothes in handluggage to change into either in-flight (if a night flight) or at the end of the flight.

Nothing is a quicker soution to feeling better / cleaner than new clothes!

I changed in a terminal once, right before immigration they had a table so I plonked down my suitcase...I had been travelling for around 15hrs by that point and still had another connection so I couldn't care less what anyone thought.

I generally wear an Armani Suit, but thats because I never, ever board a plane and turn right.

LOL.

In all seriousness, I aim for comfort but it depends when you arrive. My last holiday saw the plane arrive in Tunisia around mid-day so I went commando in a pair of shorts and a thin T-Shirt.

The time before, we landed in Spain in the middle of the night so I put Jeans on, but it was still too hot for jeans at 5am it would seem.

This year I'll be opting for commando in shorts.

Jeans and a t-shirt with a light jacket normally, I mostly use Newcastle airport and it's pretty much always bloody cold getting on the plane, Take the jacket off once on the plane if it's warm enough.

jeans and a polo shirt

folks that wear hoodies etc, don't you fry your t*** off ?

Depends on what temperature is set. More often than not it's slightly lower than I would like so I wear a hoodie which can be removed if necessary. If sat close to an emergency exit it can get very cold. IT also depends where you're sat. For example, if you're down the back near a big galley it can get very hot whereas up front in business or first where there is a much lower density of people, it can be noticeably cooler.

In summer I usually take my hoodie off for most domestic US flights as the temperature always seems to be that little bit higher. For transatlantic sectors, I usually leave it on since the flight usually departs early morning when it is cold and I usually connect in ORD or IAD which are usually freezing too :D

God I'm sad.

I just wear whatever, not really fussed. Jeans, vest, tee and jumper is pretty standard. If I get hot I can just take a layer off.

Edit: In my experience of flying, plane cabins get very cold - particularly transatlantic at night!

Only time I've flown: Track suit...

I just wear whatever I wear that day, don't specifically pick clothes for flying.

A pilot's uniform, and as for conversation, well I just tell my seat mate that things will be just fine because the rope I tied to the steering column is of good quality.

Joggers, tshirt and a zip-up hoodie if necessary.

I've actually been upgraded to business class wearing the above, one time, on short BA flight down to plymouth :D

lol so the general trend is

hoody+jeans+ trainers

wicked and I am surprised to see so many of you actually got upgrades wearing this.
