coolermaster V8
4GB basic DDR2 RAM
2 x GTX260 in SLI (mobo needs to be SLI compatible)

That motherboard/RAM/cooler combo look okay to you? I don't think your current cooler is socket 1155 compatible.

iirc correctly it uses same fittings as 1366! (Or it could be 1156 xD Its one of the two, can't remember which atm - just stepped off a 12hour transatlantic flight :p)

Nero cooler is pretty naff for the money, a Gelid Tranquillo (yes, i know it doesn't exist on OcUK anymore) would be a better cheaper bet.

If you want to get it all off OcUK then the Freezer 13 Pro will do the job perfectly :)

I wouldn't change the motherboard/cpu combo and would only change RAM if you can afford it!

ive checked and apparently the SB 1155 chipsets are compatible with 1156 coolers.

At least coolermaster have said so haha

Edit: I would change the RAM but id like to keep it as close to £350 as possible with a mobo thats still SLi compatible.
(price including the i5 obviously)

Just swap the RAM out for this: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-104-GL

Only reason I'm recommending it is because OCZ are pulling out of RAM sector and it worries me :p

Besides, the GeIL stuff are awesome overclockers.

If any OCZ RAM does fail then Overclockers will refund it if they can't get you a replacement.

My experience with the Nero cooler has been pretty good, installed one on a friends PC and it was one of the quietest I've heard.

The V8 cooler is compatible with 1366 but not 1156/1155.

I didn't say it was a bad cooler, just that for its price its cooling performance isn't as good as others - and you don't really need powerful cooling on SB anyway.

Oh fair enough then, for some reason Overclockers only list 775/1366 compatibility, in that case you should be fine with your V8. :)
