Bob Crow, heroic leader of the RMT, has been thinking outside the box again and come up with a cunning and revolutionary way to keep everyone in their jobs and pay off the deficit!

His daring proposal: a tax of 1p per email!

This man really is a thinker for the modern day in a class of his own.

I'm OK with that,
so long as I can pay in virtual cash

here's my penny

He really is a first class tool and the epitomy of what's holding this country back.

You could see David Mitchell barely knew what to say to him when he was talking about it on 10 O'clock Live. Hilarious.

And how did it take 5 days for the papers to get this? The program was aired last Thursday!?

In an interview with the Guardian newspaper last year, he said: "If you put a 1p tax on every text message that's sent in Britain, that would nearly wipe out half the deficit".

It was pointed out, however, that with 96.8 billion text messages sent last year in the United Kingdom, such a tax would raise only £968 million – a drop in the ocean of the £150 billion budget deficit.

Oh my

I honestly would not mind if emails were taxed at one pence each. It's a surprisingly elegant solution to the spam problem too, while not breaking the banks of virtually every typical user. ISPs can easily monitor and bill users for their email.
