demon souls

Love it, lots. My only complaint is that female characters have access to much better equipment than male, it could have told me this before i picked my character setup!

A sequel has been confirmed which is excellent news.

Picked this up recently, (recommended by loads on here) a great game.
The difficulty is a bit brutal in the beginning but don't let that put you off.:)

no its hard to start off with but gets easier, a lot easier!! didn't know there is a sequel. i bout the special box edition, it has a basic walkthrough so i had an advantage there :)

Only just bought this myself based on what people keep telling me about it so I'll have a playthrough soon

Had this sitting wrapped at home for about a month now. Only want to tackle it once have completed the witcher and know I have time to play it through properly.

You know I've heard a lot of cool things about it, but I've never played it. Mainly because my PS3 is gathering dust as I'm almost exclusively a PC gamer. Though I hear it's old school Nintendo Hard. I may check out the Psudo-sequel, or if I see it for cheap.

you should totally get it! it's amazing :D and it is to start off with but it get's easier as you find/buy new spells, armour and weapons.

i recommend it to anyone!

Really impressed with it at first. Then other things more important took me away from the game for a while, forgot most of how to play it then, and couldn't be bothered to try.

Dislike games like that.

I'd say overrated too.

I don't think it's fair to say it's overrated but each to their own.

I just like the way it forces you to face up each enemy, to understand how they're going to come at you and learn how to react to it. There's no button mashing here. Level design is decent as is the level up system but the game will punish you if you become lazy. Most games of this ilk you can disengage your brain and play through without much feeling; AAA, XXX, BBB, YYY etc. I think this is different and if you do complete a section or boss you feel like you've earned it and the game does reward you for it. I think it does what it does really well and it should be applauded. Bring on the sequel.

I have this but got it at the time I was playing Fallout New Vegas and then I picked up Mass Effect 2. I will go back to Demon's Souls though, even if I'm still struggling to get past the first level.

Love it, absolutely love it. Nowhere near as hard (for me) as most people make out it is, probably only died about 10 times legitimately throughout the entire game (and about 50 times voluntarily when I was harvesting souls while bored). Keep meaning to go back and do a NG+ at some point, but always find myself with something new to play instead. Can't wait for the sequel though, which has been confirmed and will be multi-platform. Hopefully it'll be harder and more challenging than the original.
