Did you set the RAM to the specified frequency, timings and voltage from within the BIOS?

If you don't then the RAM always runs at the motherboard default speed.

Well the part number shown on CPU-Z is very different from the one advertised! Call up the shop you bought it from and see if you can get it replaced?

What's the issue with the part number?

In CPUZ it says that each 2GB stick is a "OCZ3P1600C9ELV2G" - this all tallies with the product page (the final bit - "2G" is different, but each stick is indeed 2GB - while the entire kit is 4GB, hence the "4G" in the kit part number).

hmm, not sure how to set the timings properly in the bios. :/

frequency just seems to be stuck on 1333mhz :(

My fault, didn't read it properly, thought it said OCZ 1333 :p. So I assumed it was actually 1333mhz,my bad lol.

What motherboard do you have? You should be able to change the settings under DRAM Timings, and for speed it should say DRAM Multiplier or DRAM Speed.

to get the RAM running at the correct speed you have to go into the BIOS settings and manually change the RAM speed / timings.

Each BIOS is different so I cant tell you where the settings are. There may be more information in your motherboard manual. Or search for your mobo in google.

If you look through all the pages of BIOS you should start to see where it is likely to be. As said above it will be called something like DRAM timings. It is likely to be on the same page as overclocking settings.

i think i know where i'm changing them, but there seems to be many more things i can change the timings of other than the first 5 numbers e.t.c

when i get back from work i'll take a couple of photos of the bios and post them up here so someone can just tell me what to do :D

i'm utterly useless.

Change the DRAM ratio to 6(I think) and you will see the DRAM frequency change on the main OC bios screen, make sure its 1600MHz ofc, I think 6 should be right.

Set the first 5 timings in that second picture to 1-9-9-9-24 and leave the rest on auto.
