I've got a whopping tesco shop arriving tomorrow, but I don't have anything to make to eat tonight, which is quite annoying since I'm rather hungry.

I don't particularly want to get a takeaway, but I can't seem to think of anything appetising to make out of the limited ingredients I have left.

I have:
Rice
Pasta
Tins of tomatoes
Tins of kidney beans
Butter
Bread rolls
Branston Pickle
Sliced beetroot
Tins of sardines
Two frozen chicken breasts
Various spices, oil, vinegar and the like.
Half a red onion

Ladies and Gentlemen. Spec me :D

If you had any capers or anchovies you could be going like:

sardines + tomatoes + capers + garlic + olive oil + pasta
???
profit

I'd add a fair bit of black pepper to the above with maybe some lemon juice, bit of salt and maybe a few grains of sugar. And some onion of course.

Throw the above items in the blender. Take picture. Drink the resulting creation. Take picture. Become OCUK legend.

that there is a lot of food.

Cook the chicken on a bed of rice in the oven, Add some tomatos for wetness.

Kidney beans can go in to if you like, add some spice if you feel like it.

Serve it with oven warmed bread rolls with butter inside for some nice moist bread!

Defrost chicken breast
Cook chicken breast with whatever spice you feel like using
Butter bread rolls
Place chicken breast between rolls
Eat

(Serve with pasta if you want something more to go with it.)

Hmmmn, I've actually never cooked rice in the oven, and have no idea what adding tomatoes for wetness means. Advice? (your talking to a student)
Sounds interesting though

I'd put the tomatoes in the pan with vaious herbs and spices, oh and the onion.. mainly oregano and chilli flakes, bring to a simmer and reduce until it's a thickish sauce. Boil some pasta in some salted water, whilst that is doing.. grill/pan fry the chicken brests in a dab of oil. Allow it to rest and cut into cubes and put into sauce mixture.. and warm through. Drain pasta throughly, and then add pasta to sauce.. serve hot.

For a ghettu garlic bread (if you got garlic), fry some garlic in a dab of oil for like a minute to get rid of bitter taste, take out and drain on paper and then mix with about 2 tablespoons of butter. get the rolls and half them, and spread the garlic butter on... put under hot grill until golden.
