When will the 580's drop in price ?

Hi guys

Maybe looking going from my 6950 > 6970 to a 580

Im just wondering when will the prices drop a little ?

With the 590 coming will this knock down the prices of the 580's by much ?

Also when i do decide to go nvidia what would be better the 3GB models or the 1.5 ? And what would be the main difference ?

Most likely when they become EOL.

They can price it to what they want because no other single GPU card can beat it in raw performance.

1.5gb is all you need unless you play at 2560x1440/1600.

Hopefully when the 590s come out they will drop a bit fingers crossed but then the question is do I get a 590

Have you overclocked the card and unlocked the shaders on your 6950?

Not many games @ 1920 require anything more powerful than a 6970 (*6950*)

Yes mate but im having countless problems in games with stutters etc so im wondering if to change over to Nvidia try them out as iv mainly used ATI.

Not for a long time, they are nvidia's flagship single GPU GFX card. So until the GTX 680 is released you will be waiting a while.

my 2560x1440 monitor says 1.5GB is still enough here
