Actual Glass A2 Clip Frames , where can I get them from!?

Hi all,

I found a store in Leicester that sells actual Glass Clip Frames, A2 size.

Not the Perspex Glass (plastic) frames that a lot of places sell. Trouble is I want to buy more than a couple (which the shop in Leicester has) and am looking for a place on the Internet but all they seem to sell are the perspex ones.

Any ideas?

Try the shop in Leicester they have more than a couple unless I'm missing something :confused:

Ask the shop you found the right ones in, to order some more in for you if they don't have enough at the moment?

Ask them if they can order in some more then would be my suggestion.

Ask the shop what the actual model\resupply number is and google that.

I actually have quite a few posters of various sizes that I could do with some clip-frames for. I can never seem to find them anywhere in the right dimensions, though. Does anyone know any particular high street or online stores that allow specified dimensions?

You may find that it's actually "perspex glass" when you see the real thing though. Proper glass clip frames are extremely rare.

Larger sizes of real glass clip frames are rarer, because of the increase in weight that comes with larger pieces of glass.. the clips cannot take the stresses and give way, the glass drops and customers complain, so perspex, being lighter, is favoured..

I am also after a good source for these. They are lethal but Perspex ones look gash in comparison.

Thanks for the link but I won't be buying perspex frames in future, they look cheap.

Glass all the way, guess I'll ring that store and ask if they can get some more in.

Please note that I said you may find the frames are perspex. I think they probably are glass, but that's not guaranteed.

When I was researching making my own, I found out that the clips are called "swiss clips" - might be useful to know.
