Unfathomable... Tattooing a Swastika on your Face

I think though, despite it being abused, anyone looking at it isn't going to associate it with Hinduism.

That would equally be an indication of the ignorance of the person viewing who thinks that every swastika is Nazi or that they invented it. Having said that, regardless of whether it was the religious reason or not, I wouldn't have a tattoo of any sort on my face. (actually I wouldn't have a tattoo of any sort any where on me :) )

Quote me where I made any judgement other than surely she must be intelligent enough to realise the impact this would have on almost every conceivable facet of her life?

I'm sure she realised that impact and took the decision anyway. If she moves within fascist circles it's not really an issue for her.

She is so stupid, she can never do a crime now without being found out easily. Not many people with swasticas on their faces.
(JOKES)
Remind me why we let these kind of people live, we should just do what the spartans did with unwanted children.

who says it's a tatoo, did he get close enough to inspect it.

*sigh* whether or not it is a permanent tattoo or not is irrelevant - it's a swastika. A temporary swastika is somehow intrinsically more socially acceptable than a permanent one?

In this society a swastika is a mark of Nazism/xenophobia/National Front etc and this is common knowledge. The permanence of the mark is a triviality, what it symbolises is the point.

Just like the Richard Hearing stunt. everyone knows it as a Hitler moustache.

It might be to you , I on the other hand pay attention to the type and facing of the swastika before I make any affiliations

I can see where this thread is going already and I'm not too interested in following it through. I will say:

If it is a Nazi swastika than of course she realises its implications and offence. It is there to advertise her views, to exhibit her confidence in her beliefs, to gain support from the likeminded and to directly offend those who oppose it.

If she moves within fascist/alternative circles and participates in extreme art, music, performance, tattooing etc etc getting money/employment and peers is not hard at all.

It certainly looks like she succeeded in making an impression because the OP went home and started a thread on her, musing about who she is, her life, interests, thought processes, beliefs and here we all are talking about it. She has suceeded 100% in her aim to make an impression through the displaying of one symbol. One tiny symbol. One up for her.
