*** Official PS3 FIFA 11 ULTIMATE TEAM Thread ***

I hate this game, I've just about got my Bundesliga team to where/how I want it, and now all i want to do is sell up and start a new team haha

i had 3 brazilian teams which i would rotate, 4-1-2-1-2

one was my A team, the other my B team and the other was reserves (for injured players), i used to hardly ever lose a game with them, i had all the best players for each position, bar lucio, maicon and cesar. total cost for them 3 is 180K.

i sold them all for 170K and bought 2 serie A team's 4-2-2-2, i really hate the formation, but its what i use when i play normal fifa with real madrid now.

using defensive tactic, my cdm's and lb and rb still venture far too forward, i dont want to go ultra defensive, because then none of your players make any runs or support your forward going players.

i think the main problem is, with seria A, my strikers and CB's and goalkeepers are amazing but the rest of the team are crap, with brazil, the midfielders were all amazing with average forwards and average defenders. so i have to get used to playing with a weak centre.

i need to save up for lucio, milito and cesar, about 120K, both my serie A teams cost me 170K in total which is all i had, which seems to indicate that serie A players cost a lot more than brazilian players (using a cheaper formation now).

dont think ill ever be able to get maicon 90K+ for one player is far too much, i think my most expensive is 40K+.

anyone who want to play against my now slow, old crap, serie A teams with fast strikers, add Psycho Sonny cant remember if there is a space or not.

Hi guys....

Just wondered what the best way of building up coins was on the PS3 version?

I've managed to buy a team of low-end gold players (mostly pl) but all I seem to do is win enough coins to continually be able to buy the gold contracts for my existing players as opposed to building a better team!

I'm rubbish online and really struggle to win the offline tournaments on anything above semi-pro difficulty!

Any tips??

Cheers,

StevieP

if your gold players cost about 300-400, your better off selling/discarding them when they run out of contracts and buying new ones. Works out a helll of a lot cheaper.

Its so hard to get enough points to buy the big players. Ive got a decent enough gold prem team but i have no "big" players. Ive bought a couple of gold packs (with cash not coins), best ive got is nesta, king and arteta.

its amazing how many people go for the rating of a player rather than the best player for the position i would play several 80 rated players before some 84's.

for example i have the best player for every position in my serie A team bar in forms and maicon, lucio and cesar, and i have several players with a rating less than 80.

also quite funny when people spend all their coins on the forward part of the team and pittance on defence.

formations with 3 CB's are also fail, i usually rip them apart. the wingbacks hardly ever defend, so its basically playing against 3 defenders, unless the person changes to defensive or ultra defensive, which with 5 defenders is parking the boat and withering a huge storm of attacks.

the best formations all have 4 defenders and at least 1 holding midfielder. 4-1-2-1-2 is the best but also the most expensive to buy (rightly so).

best way to make money is by playing the market, buy low, sell high, you need to spend a lot of time and effort figuring out how much certain cards sell for then spend time buying those cards for cheaper then marking them up.

for example, if you know a card is worth 3,500 and you see it starting price 150, bid up to 2,000 for it, if you get it, put it up for buy it now price of 3,000 and 3 days, someone will buy it soon. easy 1,000 coins minimum.

another thing to do is, say for example a certain player in 4-1-2-1-2 is worth 50K coins, you find him in a different formation for 30K coins, buy him and a 4-1-2-1-2 card (15K coins) and apply it then sell him, for 49K coins, easy 4K profit.
