Aside from borrowing from friends or family or armed robbery, a 0% credit card or short term bank loan is probably the best option.

I'm surprised - Egg gave me £8k from the onset which I increased quickly through spending (and clearing balance). I don't have a particularly high salary either. Luck I guess.

Flawless or not, they don't want to give you more. It's not uncommon at all to have a limit of more, far more, than 10 grand.

Tbh, you're 21, presumably not a property owner, and not exactly the Prince Regent. Five figure credit card limits are not uncommon.

Doesn't matter, well it does. But you need to keep up regular monthly payments to increase your rating.

If you don't, the rating decreases over time.
