Hi!

What do you think of these temperatures for stock 1090t? Case is Fractal R3. Ambient temperature is about 21-22 celsius.

Idle: CoreTemp 24 celsius / Asus Probe II 32 celsius
Max (Prime95): CoreTemp 54 celsius / Asus Probe II 55 celsius

It feels solid while running Prime95.

I'm not going to overclock it for a while but if I do, is there any room for it?

Those temps are high, PC Probe will get giving you the correct temps. Max for Phenom II is 62'c so you've not got a lot of headroom for overclocking as Phenoms tend to be power hungry chips

Fractal is a very quiet case and I have read that it tends to be a bit warmer than "normal gaming cases".

MB temp is 32 celsius in Probe. It's the same on idle or on load.

Fractal's standard fans are in front of the case. I have two Nexus Silent fans located at the back and in the roof. I have thought to change the Nexus from back roof to the front roof. So the air will suck from the roof, go through the cooler and out from the back. Does it sound logical to you?

I think the guys who assembled it put just the thermal grease which came with the Mugen 2 (if there is any). Is it good quality?

What do you suggest to lower the temps?

Sort the airflow from front lower / mid height to rear top / upper back. One of each at 120mm should suffice.
For comparison my 1055T (125w) at 3.5GHz has an idle of 25C and prime small FFT load of 48C.
I have two 120mm airflow fans running at 600-1000rpm and a 120mm apache 400-1100rpm on the TRUE.
I use AS5 so medium quality thermal compound. Lian Li v1000 case, Seasonic PSU normally passive operation

Is it possible that HWMonitor shows that a stock CPU uses more watts than the manufacturer reports?

I have 1090t and HWMonitor says that the usage is 139W. I haven't overclocked it.
