If that service history adds up then thats amazing?

Looks like an amazing example to have, but i would be to scared to add the miles to it and no way i could afford to upkeep that type of service history. Once a year is okay for a Sunday best car but not 2-3 times a year.

Do you think something fishy or just a rich previous owner.

My godmother had a V12 XJS. Horrible old thing with one hell of a thirst.

The Jag wasn't that great either.

Boom boom :D

The miles aren't really that lowenough to make you think twice about talking it out for a sunday blast.

Lovely car though.

I have always been after a V12 XJS. The 1991 cars are good value because that was the first year of the "facelift" ones with the updated rear lights etc. and I find the later ones with the body-coloured bumpers a bit distasteful.

As the V12s get older they are somewhat renowned for bursting into flames, you'd have to make sure that was looked into. It doesn't really need to be said that the fuel costs would be ridiculous for regular usage. I had a couple of 6 cylinder ones (one that was identical looks wise to that one apart from the interior) and got about 15mpg driving around town.

quite amazing that someone was so happy with their car they kept it for 19 years!

Either that or they didn't care.

My guess is it's almost certainly not their first/main car, hence the low mileage and why it never gets boring :) My dad has had one of his cars since '88 and still uses once a month or so, but because hes had ~10 cars as daily drivers since then it never gets boring because its always a special occasion when it emerges from the garage

Either that or the Sultan of Brunei lives in Aberdeen  :p

I just bought one of my childhood dream cars, I'm going to have to spend at least a year putting it right though! (a lot of rot underneath).

It's a 1991 CSK Range Rover (2 door special edition, number 120 of 200).

1/6/98 service 16570 mls reg vardy jaguar (aberdeen)

2/6/98 service 16590 mls reg vardy jaguar (aberdeen)

I think they might be over emphasising the word "service" somehow.

Previous owner probably kept a log of every time they went to the dealer for a bottle of genuine Jag screen wash.

Lovely car though.

Saw that on LR4x4. Very jealous! Mine is one of the many early 2 door rebuilds goin on on there ATM :)
