She has such a huge fan base. She knows millions of people will see this and show their friends and thus promote her even more.

At least I hope it is marketing. Otherwise she is mad.

The Marilyn Manson female version wannabe. It seems popular in the US that singers try to be as repulsive, annoying and "extreme" as possible to get reaction, publicity and media coverage and therefore what all the "cool kids" want to be nowadays.

The response she has got from her fans is the same as Manson used to get (mainly for being extreme, regardless whether you feel his music has quality or not) and before him all sorts of others back to the Punk music movement where so many were emulating/following because it was "cool" and got a reaction.

You usually get one original singer/group and then a bunch of monkey mimicking and riding on the momentum until it wears thin and the music moguls come up with a new act. I don't doubt that some people actually like her music but I personally believe that most of the coverage and fan following she gets is just because of the artifically extreme way she acts/behaves. I also do not believe in the slightest that she is the sort of person she likes to portray herself as, it's all for show.

I like some of Manson's songs. Hard to believe he is actually in his 40's now.

I don't see whats wrong in liking some music. I don't have any Gaga or Manson on my mp3 player but still like their music. Not the sort of music I am really into but I dunno.

It definitely references madonn's Vogue and does sound like Express yourself. The shot of her at the end of the video is clearly madonna.

I also thought the video had references to Alien/Aliens, a quick search on Google and it seems I'm not the only one to think that.

I think it's quite a clever video and the song, as always is catchy pop. She's a clever girl imo.

The bit where she is laying egg's to me is from aliens - i.e the queen alien.
