Best 2nd hand upgrade sub £100?

As title, looking to replace my 8800GTX.

Monitor resolution is currently 1680*1050 but will be looking to go 1920*1080.

im not too sure haha. they are pretty good cards, but i think you could possible get a GTX 280 second hand for about £100.
it depends if your mobo is SLI compatible or not

Something like a 2nd hand 1GB GTX460 would be my choice.

Performance is around the GTX260 SLi ballpark in a single card solution.

For that price, probably a 2nd hand 5850...either one that's a reference card, or a non-reference card that got voltage tweak support (Asus/MSI).

How is ATis driver support nowadays?

edit: Also noticed some stuff about 400/500 series compatibility issues?

ATI Drivers are pretty good in Single GPU now. It's in crossfire you get certain hiccups but not as bad anymore.

Though the MSI twin frozr II 5850s for everyone has a default fan speed of 55% which is too loud so you have to use MSI afterburner.
I think they secretly did that to make people use it
