Anyone know how you would repair a crack in the wheel arch liner? it's not a huge crack but then i drive through puddles ect. i get a bit of water in my car boot. noticed the crack the other day when i had my wheels off.

I'm thinking something like tar?? any suggestions?

You could get it plastic welded, tar isn't going to do much. However, a crack in the liner should not allow water to get into the boot as the liner is not designed to be water tight. The cars main bodywork should not be allowing water into the car unless it's damaged, e.g. corrosion. Are you sure the boot seals aren't allowing water in?

well my first guess was this crack as the only wet patch is just above the wheel arch. can't see any corrosion ect. from the inside and there seems to be no water around the boot seal. so i have to think it's coming from underneath somewhere. The wheels will be back off tomorow for another job so i might remove the liner to see behind it.

Can you lie in the boot whilst somebody else attacks it with a hose pipe?

The thinking being is that if the boot doesn't fill with water and he subsequently drowns, that the boot has a leak as it isn't watertight? :D
