Temp car insurance for under 21's

...anyone know of any companies that do it?
Need someone else insured on my car who's 18 for a few days but I'm struggling to find companies that'll do it...ideas?
My current insurer won't touch them because they're under 23 unfortunately :-(

Day insure

but they're are expensive for what it is.

Day insure only do upto 20 year olds when I just tried quoting. :-(

You'll have trouble doing it to be honest, especially if it's a higher insurance group.

Can't you just try your own insurance? I put my friend on my car for a week for £20 extra (he was 21 at the time though.) I'm with Tesco if that is any help.

It's a 2.2 car too, so imagine that'd make it harder too.

I just know at 21 Dayinsure etc. wouldn't insure me on an e36 328i because it was group 16, 15 and below they would do, but 16 and up they wouldn't until I was 23...although I suspect now that is 25...as they love moving the goal posts.

Dayinsure is crazy now. A few years ago I can remember insuring a friend on my 330i for something like £10 a day, or in the order of £20 for a few more. Now, they want to charge around £50 for a similar time frame, even though he's now 25 and the car I want to insure is lower in value and slower!

Do they have car insurance? It might be worth seeing if they can add your car onto their policy temporarily.

Unfortunately not, licence for a year and a bit, but no car of their own. Lol.

How odd, was just faffing on swift covers site, and it quite clearly says that they will insure 18 year olds if they are a named driver, so why does their site when I go to quote say otherwise?
