The Darkness 2 : Fall 2011!

More action orientated... hmm we all know what this means.. hello Deus Ex 2.

I don't know why so many people think all we want is shooting, is nice to take a break and explore the world and meet characters. Take the time to smell the roses you know?

Mike Patton to reprise his role as The Darkness in sequel

Good news, The Darkness fans. Mike Patton has been confirmed for The Darkness 2, where he will reprise his role as, well, The Darkness.

According to Hell Decent, which spoke with Patton’s label Ipecac Recordings, the Faith No More singer will once again be voicing the demonic entity which chose Jackie Estacado as it’s current host and wielder.
Patton’s other voice work includes Left 4 Dead and Portal.
The Darkness 2 was announced last week for a fall release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

loved the first game. i liked toying with the demon heads killing people :D

there was one part of the game that made me jump out of my seat. I think it was one of the parts where you go in the demond world with the nazis. I think there was a long dark tunnel and them some nazi zombie jumps out.

Craped my self lol

and NOOOOOOOO to cell shading
 
Few pics up on IGN. Got to say i'm not liking the cel shaded graphics. Don't think i'll be bothering with this one :( Shame as i loved the first.
 
Why do they think because it originated as a comic it has to have cell shading, are we back in 2000?

If something works then leave it alone!
 
Absolutely loved the first one, was quite original in its own way. Sequel looks pretty grim (and not in stylistic way), which is a massive shame.
 
One of the first games I ever bothered to finish on 360 but looking at the sequel it does n't bode well with new developer and different engine. Will wait for reviews.
 
I bought this on the recomendation of the members off this very forum.

Its now one of the many, many reasons I now Ignore the recomendations of the members of this very forum.

As its complete trash.

Looks pretty good, how badly has the original aged? I've totally forgotten everything about it so suspect I'd need to play it again before getting this
