Pokemon White/Black

This is ridiculous! :p

Victini keeps breaking out no matter how many balls I throw at it. (No sniggering)

Down to the smallest sliver of HP, put it to sleep, but no number of Great Balls or Timed Balls can keep the little runt down.

when it gets to that ill get a pokemon that can throw Yawn out there or sleep powder...

whittle the health down, put him to sleep then catch the bugger.

and if his stats or nature arent what i want, repeat the process:/

Yeah I did that every time. Used Pansear's Yawn and put it to sleep but it still kept breaking out.

What are people here using then? I've got a 6 team of:

Dewott - Lvl. 25
Pansear - Lvl. 19
Victini - Lvl. 23
Herdier - Lvl. 26
Timburr - Lvl. 20
Pidove - Lvl. 12

Currently trying to get Pidove levelled up and trying to find a few decent Rock types for the next Gym.

Tried Roggenrola? Think that's rock and can be found in the cave before the 2nd Gym. Can get Woobat and Drilbur there too.

What stats/nurture should I be aiming for?

For victini? If you want a physical attacking based moveset go jolly. If you want special attack based moveset you want timid. Then you'd train even in speed and either att or spatt to suite the chosen nature. You could go adamant or modest but the boost in speed seems to be more useful.

Tip to force wild or legendary Pokemon into the nature you want (50% chance it will work) find a Pokemon with SYNCHRONIZE ability of the nature you want and put him to the front of your crew.

For example get a Munna with synchronize ability. Mine is Calm so when he is my leading poke my encounters with wild poke are now 50% calm if I Catch them. this makes it easier to catch Pokemon of the nature you want.

My 6 that I'm carrying around at the moment are...

Pignite - Lvl. 26
Pansage - Lvl. 22
Victini - Lvl. 16
Pidove - Lvl. 19
Musharana - Lvl. 20
Lilipup - Lvl. 15

Gym Badges - 3
Pokedex - 37
Gameplay Time - 8:13

I've just got the 3rd gym badge and still haven't come across any water Pokemon to catch :(

Sorry Running Man, but who are you talking to?

I was talking to you!"

Also i just caight an Audino in the place where u can catch a manna, and its pretty rare. Basically i was trying to catch a timid or jollyu manna with Syncronize and some bushes started shaking, i walked into it and up pops an Audino.. in Calm mode...

I started with a fire Pokemon. I can't remember if I've been given one, terrible memory lol

Yea you should have met a guy that said somehting along the lines of, wow you started with a fire pokemon here have this, (could be grass or water i dont know as i started with water and he gave me fire.)

Did everyone catch a Munna btw at the dreamyard after using CUT for the first time to open up that extra area? it learns a really useful move at leve 11 - Psybeam 65 power - 100 accuracy special move.

My makeshift team so far:

Oshawott lvl 16 Quiet - Mischevious
Pansear lvl 14 - Brave - highly persistant
Munna lvl 11 - Calm - Loves to Eat

Btw the 'Mischevious' or 'Loves to eat' bit is quite important. it gives you an idea of what the biggest IV that particular pokemon has and can tell you early on how powerful the IV's actually are...

For example, if like Manna you have one that 'Loves to eat, it could have a 30IV in HP:

HP
0 5 10 15 20 25 30 Loves To Eat
1 6 11 16 21 26 31 Often Dozes Off
2 7 12 17 22 27 Often Naps
3 8 13 18 23 28 Often Scatters Things
4 9 14 19 24 29 Likes To Relax

It could also be 25, 0r 20 but this is quite unlikely unless you have caught the worlds worst pokemon.

The natures and characteristics are all listed here...

http://www.pokefarm.com/pokemon-nature-and-characteristics-explained.html

You want to get pokemon with "Likes To Thrash About" for instance in Attack if it is a physical attack move pokemon, this infers that without using an IV calculator, that its attack IV is very high.

My audionfail for example has the phrase 'quick to flee' which means that the best invidial IV it has is its Speed which can be a maximum of 29 out of a possible 31. This means that in all of its other attributes like HP and Attack etc not one of its IV is above 29. Thats not to say the rest of its stats are not all 28 per say, but that is unlikely..

hi mate this is my Pal Pad number
Pokemon PalPad Code: 3521 1271 9163

Also anyone else feel free to add me :)
Sure I'll send it when I can. Only problem is I don't think it's possible to trade over original pokemon until you've done the elite 4 if it is pokemon black or white your playing. If that's a pal code for any of the other games though I'll get it sorted on monday.
Sorry about that but I'll give the charmander when it is possible to still.

There's a tadpole like pokemon you can get that turns into a huge water frog. If you go to the grassy area after the town with the museum in it (just below the entrance to pinwheel forest) they hang around there. If not when you go to the desert area there is a ruin where you get a fossil and if you choose the cover fossil you can get a water turtle.

Thanks for the tip on Drillbur. Managed to grab one after heading back to that cave on Route 3. Turns out it's rare so it took me a good 30mins to find one, then I used a quick ball on it. :)

Now levelling up my Sandile ready for the next Gym battle and have Drillbur in daycare.
