Been shopping...

Such a quick car for a 4 door barge.

Such an immense taste for fuel for something that doesn't have afterburners.

Excellent, enjoy.

Luckily I have a few bottles of 10w-60 kicking around still and the iDrive is showing it'll be a fair while until anything needs doing (anything needing doing within [i think] 4,000 miles the dealer has to do anyway under the approved used scheme).

It's literally just had brand new discs and pads all round which is handy :)

Enjoy :)

It's quite a bit quicker than the E39, especially at the top end of the rev counter. I thoroughly enjoyed mine, more so than the E39 despite many people at the time saying they wished they hadn't gone from the E39 to the E60.

ISTR you saying the E60 wasn't as good as the old E39 round the 'ring, but then hadn't the E39 had fairly substantial suspension/brake mods?

They should be shiny. The car had just come in and hadn't been AUC prep'd etc when we saw it so is in need of a decent clean. I've made it clear in no uncertain term that it is to be spotless when I collect it.

I look forward to watching Saturday Kitchen in it at the RR!

Excellent choice of vehicle

Very nice indeed Pete, I am looking forward to seeing that.

My Dad had an M6 when they first came out, so I'm reasonably familiar with them ...I tried to convince him at the time to get an M5 but he had his mind set on the M6 ...I never did quite understand why as they really aren't especially good looking and are basically the same thing only they cost more and are less practical.

However, they are indeed very nice cars, although it's interesting that you prefer the sound of the V10 ...I actually prefer the old V8 in the E39 myself.

Now you are making me want an XJR again, I keep trying to 'not' think about it too much and just wait, save some money etc.

Very nice. I too am not a fan of the M6 wheels - but the genuine ones look much better on the M5 than the 6 and all the replicas on E36s :D
