i want 2 upgread a gtx 295

hi all would a gtx580 be a good upgread from gtx295.
my sys intel e8600 o/c 2 4500ghz.

It would be a good upgrade and you would see a large perfarmance boost. Personally I would go for a 6950 and switch the Bios to get 6970 performance, but then again I am a fan of ATI.

I spent similar amount on a gtx295 2 years ago! The gtx295 still plays any game at max settings! So I would buy best card in the world again.
