Looking into water cooling but I have no idea where to start. Any water experts wanna spec me ALL the parts I need for best bang for the buck kit?

Currently running Sandybridge i5 and AMD 6950. Are 260 Rads ok? Or 360 is better? No case atm, can choose that a bit later.

Cheers.

Hi, first of all read up on watercooling, research your parts by reading reviews, plenty of info on the net. It cost me about £300 to cool my CPU + GPU, when you have picked your parts, post a thread with them and ask abouy anything you are not sure about. You.ll get plenty of help of the the watercooling guys, a couple of bits of advice use distilled water + silver coil[ keeps the algea at bay] and don't use a dye use coloured tubing.

LOL 260 rads? you mean 240 or 360 or 480 right? exactly what Oldphart said, read, read, then read some more, watercooling isn't something you generally undertake without a thorough understanding since anything going wrong can potentially trash your entire system ;)

Pay good attention to what has been said here, especially the bold text, before you buy a thing.

i've played around with water cooling systems before, sorry i forgot to mension that. I just want to know what are the best bang for the buck parts? How are the EK kits, is water cooling still better than air cooling for CPU's?

Cheers

From whats been said with e 2500s and the 2600s there is little point water cooling these. Its not as if you will get a clock increse.

Same with the GPU unless you are going to overvolt the card the performance increse is very small.

Said it before and will say it again.

If your looking for FPS buy a better GPU.

Cheers for the info. I'm just after a water cooling system that I could use for a while. I'm currently on stock cooler on both GPU and CPU and i've overvolted and over clocked. Obviously the temps are pretty high and I'm looking for something that would keep it really cool aswell as being quieter.

Do bigger tubes affect the temps much?
I'm looking at the EK H30 Supreme HF 240 WaterCooling Kit, can I just replace the tubes with bigger ones? Or do I have to change the fittings?
I'm pretty sure I can fit this together, just need to know the right parts.

Cheers.

I had the h50 and the top end temp were too high, I would think the h70 is similar. Usually the custom coolin rigs are a lot cooler in terms of load temps

VAT is being charged at 20.00% VAT : £42.32
Total : £253.90

That is what I would be ordering if I wanted to do CPU, and obviously add whatever block/s for GPU/s and maybe consider a second radiator, 1 at 120 should do for 1 GPU

but I am no expert, this is what I am looking at getting, well very similar but mostly second hand where I can save some cash
