Pokemon White/Black

Does naming the pokemon change anything but the name?

Nah doesnt do anything different, but I like to do it to give each game a theme :)

Got Black last saturday and decided that this gen my theme will be saints players that each pokemon represents... (better than gen 4 which was linux distro's and soul silver which was random things they seem to resemble)

I absolutely love that nintendo have finally sorted out my main complaint about the game, they have sorted out the interface so it runs properly on the ds :D its made the whole experience so much more enjoyable.

Still so confused about the new pokemon though, this thunder horse thing seems to be the best thing iv gotten hold of so far... (only have 2 badges)

I got an IV calculated app for my phone for easy state checking.

Caught a lonely timburr with very decent IV. Thing is I want a good IV and nature Throh but with just 5% encounter rate it had taken time just to get the 5 I have caught and the best nature one has only 7-12 IV attack. Bah h h.

I know its a dumb question but I've never been good with the online trading, anyone know where to go (or what C-gear app to use) for trading via wifi to anyone like how its done on soul silver/heart gold in the tower building?

Done 5th gym now. No idea how some of you have already done the 8th o_o Then again when it arrived early on friday I chose not to play it till 6pm so my girlfriend wouldn't feel left out.

Got my second badge today. Really enjoying it at the moment (playing Black first, then will play through White on my 3DS and my Black again on there) Finally have a few days off this week so can get some serious playing done

Just thought id share my complete pokemon collection with you guys. Obviously its not complete in terms of the number of games but it is MY complete handheld collection;

I'm a complete noob at all things Pokemon so please bear with me. :p

In Black/White will I be able to get the older Pokemon like Poliwrath, Magneton, Kabutops, Scyther etc? :)

Char Name: Edmund
Pal Code: 3353 3219 8570
Vers: Black (UK)

Saw the first 'The End' screen last night, caught all the legendaries available to catch on Black except for Kyurem and also bagged that crazy high level Volcarona. I find it funny how I beat the Elite Four etc. with a team all between Lvl 40-50 and then you're expected to battle trainers with teams Lvl 60+ straight away (albeit they weak teams but big level difference nonethe less); the only good thing is you get tons of XP from it I guess.

Also, is anyone else finding it surprisingly easy to catch the legendaries? I used a standard ball on Reshiram and literally only used <15 ultras in total on the rest. Did they up the catch rates?

Nope you can't.

Seriously Dan if you enjoyed this, see about picking up gold / silver :) as that lets you get most of the original + some cool new ones and it shouldn't be too expensive. Could then see about picking up Diamond :)

If you want the older ones and a really good game, the DS versions of gold / silver are great :)

Personally, It's nice to play Pokemon and not see the old ones all the time :p I've played every game almost to completion and they do get a little bit boring :p
