DTS.wav though HDMI

I am trying to play a dts.wav file and no player seems to run it in DTS.
I am using a GT430 vid card that has sound onboard this is plugged into my AV receiver.
The album works in PCM mode fine, this is not what I want. When I tick the SPDIF option in VLC I get no sound at all.
I have tried the common fixs FFDshow etc but still nothing is there anything I am missing.

Is it DTS or is it WAV? It can't be both.

the file extension is .WAV but the music inside is DTS 5.1

Yeah that plugin looks promising, there isnt much support for it i guess seeing as not many things use that format

got it playing in foobar but does not come up as DTS on my receiver, seems to be PCM
Hmm sais DTS track 6 channel though, tricky one this, would be nice to hear Pink Floyd The Wall in full DTS surround

All that means is something else is decoding it. Their shouldn't be any difference in the output (provided it's not downmixing it).

So leave AV receiver as it is on PCM
