Now im using the the logitech Mx 518 and a SteelSeries Surface QcK

Maybe I need more practice or somthing but im not the fan of that combination.

How do you grip your mouse?

Do you palm it, ie lay your hand totally over it, or do you 'claw grip it, ie hold it with the tips of your fingers?

How are you finding the weight of the mouse as well?

The mat is a good one and the combo should be pretty much awesome.

So a bigger mouse would be better for you. I know there are some which do have weights that can be changed but for the life of me cannot remember which ones.

I use a Steelseries XAI, which has a really good bit of weight to is and I think can be used with a palm grip, even though I am a claw man. It is pricey but I adore it and I know a lot of people on here use it - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-014-ST&groupid=702&catid=23&subcat=1257 Would match up perfectly with your mat. ;)

Just having a peek about, I have just seen a stonking deal which may be of interest - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-001-RA

The mousemat is a firm favourite on here and I have one myself. It is MASSIVE. To get it free with that Razer DeathAdder Respawn, is pretty damn epic if you ask me. The mat retails for a tad under £18 by itself! Check the top review for the mouse as the chap says he has big hands and it fits really well. :)

hmm

the razor one looks good alright, nice bundle deal and its nice to see it does big hands

What ill do is give it a few more days and see does anyone else have any recommendations

but thanks for the great help so far PapaLazaru

Logitech G500, has 6 weights of one, and 6 of another, so you can adjust to how heavy you want it to be. Here! Got mine for £27 just beofre christmas, gone up slightly since then, but worth the pennies :D

Also This! The Boogie Bug AimB.Pad XL. Absolutely huge. close to 1 meter in width, and around 45cm in height, its great, certainly complements my G500 with no problems :)

Im wrist is pretty sore of late, I wonder could that be due to the mouse or the the way i hold the mouse ?

Wrist? i find that normally occurs when your are using your mouse, and your wrist moves across a surface, like my mouse pad, im used to it now :)

Dont be a WIMP!?!!!"£"£ :D :p

Only joking, but it might be adjusting to a new mouse, if you have one, or maybe its just telling you that you need a newer mouse to use :D?

Your cure, Op, could be as simple as a wrist rest for your mouse hand. Try rolling up a tea towel or something and resting your wrist on it when you use it. :)

I'd suggest visiting a well known PC store to test various mice. Most of the larger stores have a dozen or so gaming mice on display that you can play with. Naturally they'll be way overpriced :)

That's the thing, a lot of them don't though - well none I've been to!

It's always frustrating finding the right mouse, but knowing what grip style you use, and reading up on lots of reviews/comments can help immensely sometimes.

Another thing regarding the mention of Steelseries; personally, I now avoid Steelseries mice, not that the Xai is bad or anything just that mine and other people's experiences with the Kinzu and Ikari have been quite frustrating. The Xai is supposed to much, much better though.

I swear by the Razer Deathadder. Took a little while adjusting to it from an MX510 but I never looked back. Looks damn nice as well. As for surface, I prefer fabric over plastic/glass/etc and I've been using a Razer Mantis for a couple of years now, it has served me well :D

this probably a stupid question so forgive me im a noob

How should I have the mouse

Should I have my forearm on the desk with the mouse or should I have the wrist down on the table and with the forearm slightly up ?

so got my stuff today, the razor is different from the logitech shape so i have to get use to it but Im pretty happy with it. Better than the logitech imo

The mouse mat is huuuuuge, It hangs off a bit off my table. Also any advice on how to straighten it out? What I mean is it's rolled up in the tube and it still has the roll up effect if you get me
