It just caught on the lip of flange that connects the decat pipe (not in digram) to the 'Y' pipe. It's dented a bit of the 'Y' pipe and has caused a bit of paint transfer, but the point of initial contact was the flange.

The silencers weren't touched but I can only think that the impact might have dislodged something internally? It was strong enough to break the seal between the downpipe and decat.

Sorry, but I smashed my exhaust on a 'bollard' and it doesn't sound too healthy (even after half a tub of exhaust paste) so I'm having a bit of a sulk.
