You can insist the money comes straight to you, this can be arranged.I have a few mates who do it too, tbh, it's a nightmare in most cases, one bit of advice - never ever rent out to the dss people, the council don't pay you for the house, they pay the tenant, when the tenant doesn't pay you and you complain to the council.... the council can't help you as it's the tenants human right to do what they want with the council's money!!
