TV screen test today - anyone else been on the box?

all started as a joke, but applied for 'deal or no deal' last year at work when bored with the rest of my team, got contacted and had a lengthy phone interview and then had to fill out a mega application pack... from there i was awarded a 'silver ticket' and today off to Bristol for a group interview and a screen test, if successful im on!

the chap i spoke to in production did warm me that even the most confident of people come unstuck under the lighting and camera's, but clearly its its vital that they have contestants that can deal with it...

any tips from any seasons tv vets?
 
I'll see if I can get hold of my step-dad, hopefully I can catch him on my break before he goes to work.

Should be able to get some good advice as he was on in March 09
 
If you get on, you have to wear some sort of OcUK paraphenalia.

When I get nervous in front of an audience I just imagine I'm naked and that makes me feel better. :p

Just remember, if you do get all nervous and twitchy, you don't look anywhere near as bad as you feel so carry on like you aren't about to throw up and no one will know.
 
I know a few people that have been on (and actually been on a few other game shows too), will see if i can get hold of any info for you :)
 
If you get on, remember to ask to speak to the banker and tell him you have his wife and kids.

Also, say a number and point at a completely different box/person.
 
I don't know how this show works, but don't the contestants stay on until their number is called to play?

yeah but they film a week in less than a day, so someone can appear to be on the show for upto a month, but in reality it will be a week

330pm is the time it starts so gonna leave southampton about 12 and make sure im nice an early

Yep, they film loads each day, like most game shows :)

I'd leave earlier than 12 tbh, in fact i'd be on my way already :P

The game is so stupid, and could be over in 30 seconds.

I think you should insist on stroking Noel's beard everytime a box is opened, for good luck. That is assuming you're picked to go on the show.

no nothing, it even says there are no refreshments and i also need to be there for a maximum of 5 hours, guess i better make some sarnies - tight arse channel 4 :D
 
Do you actually get to wear your own clothes on show, or are they bought in for you? Cant remember seeing a logo on anything really!
