Also heard an interview with him on radio 4. He said there was such a massive appetite for anti-Muslim stories at the paper they just made up anything they fancied.

Pro-muslim actual true events were rejected by the paper altogether.

:/

So who do you blame? The journos, or Joe Public who just *loves* reading anti-islam stuff and will choose his paper accordingly?

I like his 'we did cut and paste jobs from the daily mail, chucking in some press release stuff' admission as well!

The journos and the thicko public must share the blame. Paper like The Daily Fail couldn't print lies if nobody bought them.

Does anyone know of any news agency/paper/channel that actually reports news and not just 'bad stuff'? You know, like nice things that happen, too.

It's about the daily star if actually read article, your daily mail bashing failed.

I know it's the Daily Star - my reference to the Mail was only because they print lies, too. I'll edit my post to make it clearer.

You only have to look at this forum to see that people have an unhealthy addiction to Muslim-bashing and well papers want to sell as many copies as possible, so guess what sells best?

!

do they though ?

I know people who buy the Daily Star or the Sun.

They buy it every day. They don't give a toss about the content of the paper, because they just buy the same one every day. I'd be interested to see actual sales statistics to back up that people buy more papers when they run these stories.

What! The Daily Star runs false stories!

Jokes aside, why the hell did that journo agree to write false stories? He should have more integrity than that. I guess if he had any integrity he wouldn't have worked for the star in the first place. :/

A good read i've found recently is monocle magazine.. ok its a monthly issue and its not all about news but theres some refreshing takes on world events as well as insightful interviews in it
