Steam Mid-Week Deal - Mafia II - £5

I bought it for £5 a few months back and certainly had my moneys worth from it.
for a fiver, theres a lot worse games out there to choose from to play through atleast once.

This seems to be the case for the vast amount of people who actually bought, no idea why there's so much negativity surrounding this game from people who obviously haven't even played it.

I think I will buy it. I love the time period it's set. Loved a few gameplay videos I've seen. And I'm getting a new PC soon so it should be a good thing to show off.

It's optimized for the PC wonderfully, I managed to use very respectable settings on a mid range laptop :)

steam is dangerous!!!

i don't even want to play it, but will probably get it for £5

Got to stop looking at the steam deals.before i know it i'll have 200 games and i'll have spent about 2k. lol

Having so many games in my steam games list not even installed/ever played, I've stopped buying games just because they are cheap.

Bought CIV4 + the expansions for a £5 or £10 or something last year, installed > played 10 minutes > uninstalled

Seem to be stuck playing Black Ops wager matches at the moment, or Super Meat Boy / Trials 2 :)

Its a great game. Too many people who wanted everything from it which it was never going to be able to do (sounds like every big release to date - and most recently Crysis 2, a game that has been condemned as rubbish, incomplete and a failure before its even been released - snap judgments and bandwagons). The DLC stuff did get tedious but its not going to rape your family if you dont buy them all when they get released - just ignore them unless you actually want to play the extras. For a fiver you cant go wrong, I was happy paying full price for it.

I liked the game but the way they took content out of the game to sell as DLC was disappointing. Well worth £5 but I'm not sure if I'd want to support this type of DLC implementation again.

Funnily enough, Civ 4 is miles better than any of the lot you listed.

Ive got about 200 games, 95% have came from stupid steam sales, the 75/% 90% pack deals at xmas are just nuts

lol Ok I just bought it.

I better have enough for Portal 2. I've gotta hope that Spurs give AC Milan a spanking tomorrow, then I should.

No offence but are you stupid? :p

I hope you betted against Spurs. Even if you support them.

On topic: Mafia 2? Do not want.

That's two pints, you know. Or a decent Chinese take-away.

And there are plenty of games where I'd rather have the beer.

£5 can be lots of different things. A pint or 2 (though I don't drink) is over once you've consumed it, if you get a full game that you like for £5, you have it forever.

Just bought this now, only just seen it on steam, wanted it at xmas but had spent far too much

*edit* damn steam is fast tonight
