Hi Guys

Been playing squash and doing light weights for about a year now, height 5.11" and weight is 11.5 stone... I now want to add some size but remain lean if at all possible.. I have a training programme sorted and I eat well and eat sensible...

How does this look for my first purchase from MP? Any advice/comments would be welcome :)

you dont need any of that stuff if your doing light weights, save your cash it will be a waste, maybe alpha men might help with general health, but you would be better off eating fruit as most of the stuff from pills gets pee'd out.

smartshakers now available at BBW http://www.bodybuildingwarehouse.co.uk/smart-shake--smartshake---550ml-5127-p.asp
Quite tempted to get one, anyone else used one?

I've got the one in black and i must say i really like it. You sacrifice some shaker space but if you have extra shakes during the day or take other things on the move it's perfect. I like to put a handful of nuts in there as a snack. You get just over 500ml for the actual shaker which I find is just about enough when i have two scoops of whey PWO. The screw system of the lid is really solid.

Basically, only buy it if you know you are going to use the extra bits, otherwise its just a shaker with extra plastic on the bottom.

Firstly ditch the monohydrate. Oats & Whey and a shaker will be all you need. Really, unless you've done you're reading and can justify why you're going to use C-mono spend the money on oats instead.

Also I'm not a fan of the blender bottles and would recommend the Buchsteiner shaker instead. Others here will disagree.

6/7 months down the line if you want to explore other supplements if you have the desire then do it but initially just start with the basics as it's all you need.

I'd get ripped to shreds if any mates saw me whip out a shaker with secret hidden compartments for nuts!

The bottle I got is bloody awesome... got my shake weight arms on the go and gave a it a proper shaking and not the tiniest bit came out. Brilliant! :D And the unflavoured MP Impact Whey isn't bad at all, quite liked it to be honest. Yum yum. :)

Hi guys,

Have any of you heard of forces nutrition? Basically it was set up so that supplements could be sent to BFPO addresses (weight limits etc)

I'm doing Stronglifts 5x5 routine so there are loads of squats/deadlifts/benching etc and I'd like to have a nice post workout shake, when you are out of area it's really hard to eat 'properly' so a post workout shake would be brilliant to ensure i'm getting the protein in.

What do you guys recommend?

I've seen this: http://www.forces-nutrition.co.uk/proteins-and-mrp-s/17-pure-protein-igf-1.html

What do you think? What are the 'essential' thinks to look for in a shake?

holy huge price that.

in a post workout shake you want a good source of protein (whey protein is common and good) and a source of carbs to give you that beneficial insulin spike. A blend of fast absorbing carbs such as dextrose and some medium ones such as oats works best.

MyProtein deliver to BFPO addresses and for the same price you would be paying for 1kg you can order 2kg of impact whey http://www.myprotein.com/uk/products/impact_whey_protein

Thanks for the info guys - the problem with ordering myprotein 2nd tubs is that with packaging it weighs more than 2KG!

After I posted that comment at lunch I went into work and found out there was actually a forces nutrition guy on camp, we were having a 'health' type day in the gym....ANYWAY I had a chat to him and got some stuff (much cheaper than the website :D) and a free shaker and some bars to sample :)
