iOS 4.3 now live

- AirPlay seems more reliable. I can reliably, and without fail, transmit 720p video from iTunes on my MacBook Pro to both my iPhone and iPad (Using the AirPlay app) without stuttering. :)

What's this AirPlay app called? I've checked on the App Store but can't see anything entitled, AirPlay.

Thanks!

For anyone with an iPad, have ou found browsing to be faster?

Also will the touted faster web loading speeds jsut apply to Safari, or will other brouwsers like iCab etc take advantage of it?

Maybe he means the AirView app? It utilises airplay.. though not sure he does.

Not sure I like the tweaks to the text tones in this software revision. I was using the 'Spell' tone, and it has been shortened too much that it now seems a little odd.

Also, the vibrations seem to have changed as well, although I could be imagining things.

Wow - Just phoned orange to have tethering enabled so i could play with the hot spots feature. £15 pm for 3GB or £25 pm for 10 GB

Had to say no thanks to that, i get 750mb pm now and only use 250mb was hoping i could just use my remaining allowance for the tethering as it would be more than enough for usage. I think this is just another reason why i will move to Android (Cant be doing with the hassle of jailbreaking every new iOS release)

'3' will give it to you for free if you pay £25 per month.

I'm on a £15 p/m contract with 3 and have the 'personal hotspot' feature on my iPhone 3GS. Annoyingly, though, it only appears to work with Bluetooth and USB - there's no wireless option. Surely there isn't a technical reason why that would be limited to iPhone 4s? Seems rather dubious market segmentation to me

I cant beleive they want to charge us for the use of tethering...
I have a 1GB allowance on o2 for my iphone4. surely I should be allowed to use that!
Quite miffed actually.

Damn - I was so trying for a launch-day update - but I missed.

Oh well, only one day late. Even this is a first for me - my phone is usually jailbroken and I usually wait months, but I nuked the jailbreak last week and was ready for 4.3 on launch day (which I expected to be tomorrow).

Might jailbreak 4.3 (assuming old-bootrom untether still works).

Any of you guys finding the update slows the iPhone 4 down?

I was previously on 4.1 until today, everything running like a dream and Fast.
Now on 4.3 I'm getting what I would describe as slow downs on certain tasks.

The main thing is when I attempt to move an icon it takes about 1second longer than 4.1 to start jiggling about.
And once finished moving, hitting the home button to fix them in place the response time is stupid about 2 seconds for them to stop jiggling.
May sound silly, an extra second...O..M..G.. but its removing the feel of fluidity I had on 4.1

Anyone got this, experienced this?
Suggestions?

So far, so good. First Sync decided it wanted to update every item in my iCal calendar, but that's all so far. Here's hoping it stays that way as I'll be using my Travel app collection all day.

I updated iPod touch 4g last night without any problems (download took about 10 minutes which was the exact time it took to download the update for my dad's iPhone 4) although one of the things I did notice before anything else is the new facetime icon and some alterations on the lock screen (here be images before and after iOS 4.3 was installed), plus the safari browser is now starting videos in whatever way your holding the device in which is handy if you use the BBC iPlayer mobile app which always started its videos in portrait mode even if your holding the device in landscape mode which meant having to turn the device from landscape to portrait and back to get the orientation the way you want it (plus the quicktime logo has been removed)

Am I seeing right, they've dropped iPhone 3g from 4.3? :(
JB on 4.2.1 for me then can't even think about upgrading right now the way my wage is going for the next 2 months :(
