BMW 525D M-Sport. Arden blue, 2005, 89k FBMWSH. Never paid ticket price for it either

Got £2k part x for my shed of a mondeo which needed 4 new tyres, airbag light was on and handbrake needed fixing, sometimes taks a while to start the engine too. Also, got a 2 year comprehensive warranty in the deal, 6 months tax and a tank of petrol and £500 off ticket price. Yes, could have got cheaper, but this is perfect spec, immaculate inside and out, looks a lot younger than it is, not even any stone chips on the bonnet. I can't wait!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT FROM LONGLANDS!!!!!!!!!! I know a few people who have gone there and each and every one of them have been shafted over some warranty issues

Just to add, second pic... look straight past the houses, there's the area I grew up in :) (****hole!)

Wes, I like you and you're a mate.. but I really hope this doesn't explode in your face.

So you took less than 24 hours to find a car and when you did find a car its an £11,000 6 year old commonrail BMW turbodiesel with mileage high enough to make any warranty worthless and with the lower power engine?

The early E60's are, IMHO, rubbish. I'd rather have a Merc or something :(

Oh, it isn't a 525d M Sport either, its too old, it's a 525d Sport.

Sad to say you got 500 quid for your part ex and paid 1500 quid too much for that car :(

You say perfect spec, what is the spec? Looks like base with leather and nav, is it Professional Navigation with the widescreen or the Business Navigation?

Pro nav with widescreen. I don't know what else is standard. Bluetooth, hifi sounds better than in the mondeo but don't know if it's the standard one. Electric seats. I'm really happy with it anyway, not a Mark on it inside or out, no wear on the leather either. Front and rear parking sensors with the radar on the screen too.

By the sounds of things you've no idea about E60s do you?

Nice car but I'd be worried.

Of course not, he posted a thread asking us about what car he could buy last night then the very next day bought the first one he could find. He's given himself no time to see whats what at all.

Just dont really understand why people are happy to spend 5 figure sums of money like that, guess we are all different. 2 year comprehensive warranty is worthless, mind, so I hope that isn't part of the plan making the deal stack up.

No offence, but it sounds like it's just got the standard spec, with the Pro Nav.
I was expecting you do say heated comfort seats or something :(

They all have electric seats. Are they memory at least?

Looks like a nice car with the desireable options. Do you know what repairs it's had in the past? Ie. has it had injectors/turbo replaced yet? If not, start counting down to that fateful day where you get the EML come on and it goes into limp mode. Then prepare to bend over as i can't imagine a used car dealer willing to pay a £3000 repair bill for a £11k car they sold 2 years previous (especially with the reputation peterattheboro says they have)!

It's not a terrible car IMHO.
Our 2006 525d is still going (relatively) strong, although it does sound like the manifold is blowing at low revs. Probably nothing though :p

For reference my boss has a 520d and his turbo blew the other month apparently it was £1000 for the part alone... all I'll say is good luck.

This.
I spend pennys on motors compared to most on here & cringe at how they pick there motors & how quick they are to part with there hard earned. :(
It would take me maybe 3 months before I finally picked the car I would spend 5 figures on. :o + :p
