Picking up PC's that people have dumped by the skips at work

I visit many hospitals on my rounds as a courier (surgical stuff) and see literally hundreds of scrapped pcs in the scrap cages .... never taken any but I'm sure that, if I asked nicely, I could scavenge a couple.

I wouldn't ask, surely they would so no for potential security reasons?

No, because what am I going to do with loads of low spec, awful PCs that I couldn't give away if I tried?

Iv sold a couple of similar spec pc's for £50 each around my local area, people who want a pc for their kid for internet, its perfectly fine.

Pretty sure that once it's in a skip or bin it belongs to the people who collect the rubbish.

Does it:confused:, its a council run business centre, we just rent office space there along with other companies in the building. I guess the council own it if your correct then?

I'd be careful eyeing them up. Mate of mine works for the NHS and they're 'PC waste' is sold to a disposal company.

i have done this before, and i am not ashamed of it.
i have also picked up some while in my local tidy tip, while dumping my own rubbish.
there is always some one willing to pay £20-30 (depending on spec ;))
and not once has any of them ever been wiped

well done to OP, recycling at its best.

I am hoping I am not going to get myself in trouble now, but as its council owned, all they do is take them to the council tip. If it was a private pick up service I could sort of understand.
