New dog - Pet insurance?

This thread reminded me to ask my mum how much we are paying. We were paying £39 a month with M&S but recently they put it up to £69 a month and yet my mum still agreed to it. Plus we have to cover 20% of all costs.

Time to shop around!

This is exactly normal, thye put it up massively once the animals get older and more likely to claim.

Good luck shopping around, you often find once animals get to a certain age no new company will take them on.

This is exactly why you should buy a lifetime plan and not a time limited one.

Do they cap the premiums then?
Only lifetime ones I have seen will guarantee to offer the insurance, no guarantee on what the premium they ask will be...
