u could use makemkv to rip the disc and then play it back with media player classic

I just bought an OEM blu-ray drive for my HTPC and am wondering if there is any free software i can use to view blu-ray movies ??

They are cheaper. People love things that are cheaper. Also they just assume free Blu-ray playback software is available, just like DVD playback software.![]()

its the standard 2 channel version .. its not a trial .. just doesnt have bells and whistles that teh more expensive ones have
I have one of these drives and the Cyberlink suite isn't a trial version.
(It comes on a Blu-ray disc though, not a DVD, so you won't be able to install it on another PC, unless that PC also has a BR drive). Cheers![]()
